Technical SEO Specialist

Deck Builder Marketers is looking for a Technical SEO Specialist who knows how to identify, diagnose, and solve the technical issues that impact organic growth.
This role is responsible for improving website health, resolving indexing and crawlability issues, strengthening local search visibility, Google Business Profile management, and helping our clients generate more qualified leads through organic search.
You’ll work directly with strategists, account managers, developers, and content writers to turn SEO recommendations into measurable business results.
You’ll manage SEO across multiple websites and local markets, which means no two days look exactly the same.

This Role IS For You If…
- You regularly conduct technical SEO audits.
- You know how to diagnose indexing and crawl issues.
- You can explain canonicals, robots directives, and structured data without Googling them.
- You are comfortable owning SEO strategy and performance across multiple clients.
This Role Is NOT For You If…
- Your primary SEO experience is content writing or content optimization.
- You have never performed a technical SEO audit.
- You are unfamiliar with crawlability, indexation, schema markup, canonicalization, Core Web Vitals, or Google Search Console troubleshooting.
- You have never worked directly with developers to implement SEO recommendations.

Role Overview
As our SEO Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in increasing website traffic from search engines, thereby generating quality leads and sales for our clients. We seek someone with a deep understanding of Search Marketing, a passion for staying ahead of industry trends, and the ability to integrate SEO with other digital marketing channels.
Technical SEO
- Conduct technical SEO audits and identify performance issues.
- Address indexing, crawlability, and site structure problems.
- Improve Core Web Vitals and site performance.
- Identify and recommend schema markup opportunities.
- Work closely with the web development team to implement fixes.
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement SEO strategies that increase rankings, traffic, and qualified leads.
- Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to improve rankings, visibility, and search intent alignment.
- Optimize on-page SEO including metadata, headers, internal linking, and content structure.
- Manage local SEO performance, including Google Business Profiles.
Performance Analysis
- Track and analyze SEO performance using tools such as: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush or Ahrefs
- Identify ranking drops, traffic changes, and growth opportunities.
- Report on progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
Competitive Strategy
- Analyze competitors to identify ranking opportunities.
- Identify gaps in content and keyword strategy.
- Help position our clients to outperform competing contractors in their market.

- 5+ years hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
- Managed 20+ websites simultaneously
- Identified and resolved crawlability, indexing, or site health issues
- Worked directly with developers
