Position Overview:
The Video Editor at Deck Builder Marketers plays a vital role beyond technical editing by shaping creative vision and driving innovative video content. This person is a proactive, independent creator who consistently proposes fresh ideas, content strategies, and storytelling techniques. The role involves producing engaging videos for podcasts, social media, webinars, events, and paid campaigns, while supporting the company’s marketing goals and creative direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel occasionally for on-location shoots and support content capture.
- Manage podcast production, including sound editing, color correction, and final delivery.
- Assist the CEO during recordings by providing creative and technical guidance, including installation tips.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and execute video campaigns for paid advertising.
- Generate original video content ideas and scriptwriting for the CEO and team members.
- Propose new video styles, formats, and creative approaches with minimal supervision.
- Research competitors and industry trends to inform content strategy aligned with our target audience.
- Edit raw footage into polished, professional videos optimized for social media, YouTube, webinars, and ads.
- Use dynamic transitions, motion graphics, text overlays, and animations to maximize viewer engagement.
- Coordinate with graphic designers to integrate visual elements smoothly.
- Be flexible and willing to fill in wherever needed to support the team and projects.
Who You Are:
- Exceptional communication skills for collaboration across teams.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple deadlines.
- Must hold a valid U.S. tourist visa.
- Demonstrated creative thinking with the ability to work independently and proactively propose content ideas.
- Prior experience working in a marketing agency environment is highly preferred.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2–3 years of professional experience as a videographer, photographer, and video editor.
- Proven experience creating social media content and managing content editing workflows.
- Excellent knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
- Solid understanding of social media platform requirements (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) and video best practices.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
- Strong podcast editing skills, including audio mixing and color correction.
Work referrals are required and will be carefully reviewed.
- Consistently delivers high-quality, engaging video content aligned with marketing objectives.
- Proactively contributes creative ideas that boost audience engagement.
- Demonstrates measurable improvements in video metrics such as views, shares, and conversions.
- Receives positive feedback from team members on creativity, technical skills, and collaboration.
